This Bayside home—owned by Essendon football figure Brian Rogers—underwent a complete backyard transformation. Featuring a tired, weathered pool and a mismatched deck, the space was fully resurfaced and rebuilt into something far more functional and visually striking. Before: Worn, Weathered, and Underused

When we first arrived, the pool was discoloured, with sections of green water and visible surface damage. The deck was warped and mismatched from previous patch jobs. This outdoor space had lost its charm and wasn’t being used to its full potential.

During: Rebuilding from the Ground Up

We started with a full drainage and cleaning of the pool. The resurfacing process included fixing cracks and applying a fresh blue lining for a brighter, more inviting appearance. Around the pool, we replaced the entire timber decking with durable, high-grade hardwood, carefully cut and installed with proper drainage and access points.

After: A Backyard Oasis

The transformation speaks for itself. The revitalised pool now features a crisp aqua finish, perfectly complemented by the newly sealed timber deck. We finished with two coats of UV-resistant timber oil to bring out the natural grain and protect it from Melbourne’s harsh summer sun.
